I don't believe you're broken.
I believe you're human.
For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by one question.
Why do we suffer unnecessarily?
Why do intelligent, capable, kind people find themselves overwhelmed by anxiety, trapped in self-doubt or repeating patterns they desperately want to change?
That curiosity has shaped my life for more than 25 years and continues to inspire every conversation I have with my clients.

The way I see people
One of the biggest shifts I hope people experience when they work with me is this:
You stop asking, "What's wrong with me?" and begin asking,
"What was my mind trying to protect me from?"
Our minds and bodies are incredibly clever. Many of the thoughts, emotions and behaviours that frustrate us today once developed for a very good reason.
When we understand those patterns with curiosity instead of judgement, something remarkable begins to happen. We become kinder to ourselves. We feel safer.
And lasting change becomes possible. That philosophy sits at the heart of everything I do.
A lifelong fascination with the human condition
Long before I trained as a therapist, I was endlessly curious about people.
I wanted to understand why some people thrive despite adversity while others quietly carry anxiety, fear or self-criticism for years.
More than 25 years ago I read Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman.
It completely changed how I saw human behaviour and sparked a journey that I'm still joyfully following today.
Since then I've immersed myself in learning from leading practitioners in coaching, cognitive hypnotherapy, NLP, trauma-informed approaches and therapeutic practice.
But perhaps my greatest teacher has simply been sitting with hundreds of people, listening to their stories and witnessing how powerful understanding and compassion can be.
Therapy that feels human
People often tell me they expected therapy to feel formal or intimidating.
Instead, they find something much more relaxed.
We'll probably laugh.
Sometimes we'll cry.
We'll gently untangle what's been happening beneath the surface, making sense of the patterns that have developed over time.
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy.
Every person is different, so every session is too.
Whether we draw on coaching, cognitive hypnotherapy, therapeutic conversation or other approaches, everything is shaped around what will help you most.

Outside my therapy work, I'm a proud mum to two wonderful teenagers and I live in beautiful Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.
I am a champion of people and one of the things I'm most proud of is co-running a free networking community for women in business across Essex. It brings together women who might otherwise be building their businesses alone, creating a space for support, encouragement and genuine connection.
I believe we're made for connection. We all need people who listen, encourage us and remind us that we don't have to carry everything on our own. Whether that's in the therapy room or through community, I believe we flourish when we feel seen, understood and supported.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me in nature, enjoying time with family and friends, getting lost in a good book or simply appreciating the small moments that make life feel meaningful.
Life isn't about becoming perfect. It's about becoming more fully ourselves.

Why I do this work
At the heart of everything I do is one simple belief: I don't want people to suffer unnecessarily.
I've seen how profoundly life can change when people stop fighting themselves and begin understanding themselves with compassion instead.
It is a genuine privilege to walk alongside people as they reconnect with who they are and discover that life can feel lighter than they imagined.
If that sounds like the kind of support you're looking for, I'd love to meet you.
